Aug 30th - Hello Autumn Term!
Starting weight: 298.2lbs (Oct 2023)
Lightest weight so far: 262.4lbs (Mar 21st 2025)
End of last week: 275.8lbs
So the end of last week was a big gain because of our weekend away.
As of this morning, I'm back down to 272.8lbs and I just started my period (6 days late) so not really sure what went on this cycle and why I was so late.... its not unusual for me, with my hypothyroidism, to have irregular periods but it can make understanding the numbers on the scale really tricky - another reason for me to remember that an emotional attachment to the number in front of me isn't always helpful.
Tomorrow, I am going back to the gym for the first time since July! I'm so excited to get back to my classes and back to my routine. The summer holidays have been amazing but its been a long old break and tricky to fit in classes around holidays away, family events and just wanting to actually spend time as a family. Soaking up the 6 weeks of quality time as a 4 is so important to us as week in, week out during term time it can be really tricky to spend time as a family.
So yeah - August has been another month in maintenance mode but I'm ready to push hard between now and Christmas and see how much progress I can make on the scale and with my wardrobe - I would love to be able to rediscover some old outfits for Christmas - that would be very cool.
I've got a few ideas of how I'm going to add more activity into my every day - especially on the days when I don't make it to a gym class and I'm going to focus on my nutrition and claprie deficit at home - do a lot more meal prep for a work and work hard on saying no to treats for the majority..... and then have a little treat waiting at home for the evenings once the boys are in bed - going to use around 10% of my calorie goal to treat myself to some chocolate as its my achilles heal and if I know I can have a little bit at the end of each day - I hopefully won't feel like I'm being totally deprived of the good stuff.
Back to school/end of holiday blues are in full flow in our house this weekend - so I'm going to channel all that energy into something positive and really throw everything I've got at my own health and wellness this Autumn.
Let's see where I'm at by Christmas Eve!!!
