September 2025

Looking back at September, I'm really pleased!! It felt like a long month, and I felt like I wasn't making a lot of progress on the scale but by the end of the month - I was almost 5lbs down! From 273lbs on Sept 1 to 268.2lbs on Sept 30.

5lbs in a month feels good - it feels sustainable and I'm also hoping that I actually lost more fat than that but gained some muscle weight. I've been working out consistently at least 4 hours a week, sometimes more if I can fit in at home dance workout too. I'm still really enjoying my combination of weights and dance - I look forward to my workouts and it doesn't take any extra effort to get to the gym or turn on a work out at home - this has really helped with motivation.

I've been focusing on protein intake - making sure that I'm getting lots into every day and extra on days when I'm working out - I'm feeling better during my double workouts on a Sunday too which is allowing me to really push hard through Strength Development and continue without fatigue into Zumba.

I'm doing around 10,000 - 12,000 steps daily on top of my workouts too.

I think I'm finally starting to see some differences around my waist line and my tummy but it isn't much yet.

Would love to get down to 262lbs by the end of October which takes me back to my lowest weight since starting all this and I want to push for 255lb before Christmas.

September progress

Today in Strength Development, I got back up to one of my heaviest deadlift weights at 35kilos for 14 reps, 13 reps, 12 reps, 11 reps, 10 reps for one of our decline set tracks and it felt great. I would love to get to 50kilos for that reps pattern soon! And I managed to do each set of push ups in-between the deadlifts half on my toes, half in my knees - which is probably the most full push ups I've ever attempted in my life.

Weights chaos as always!

I love feeling that I'm getting stronger and can attempt/achieve exercises that I previously haven't been able to do.

I feel pleased at how September has gone, and I'm really excited how this momentum carries me forward to the end of October.
